About the Workforce Investment Board

Federal Workforce Investment Act of 1998 created local business led boards of Directors called Workforce Investment Boards (WIB’s)
The Mission of the Rockland County WIB is to foster a skilled and competitive workforce by promoting an understanding of workforce trends and issues in a dynamic economy for individuals and businesses.
The Rockland County WIB provides oversight and monitoring of Workforce Investment Act System. Tomorrow’s Workplace is an independent private not for profit agency contracted by the Consortia to operate the one stop employment center as part of this system.
