Whether you are new to the Center or have registered with us previously, you must complete the following steps to receive services from us. You MUST demonstrate that you have followed the following steps and actively sought a job for at least one week within the center before attempting to access additional services.
Step 1: Pre-Assessment
Please complete the pre-assessment survey by clicking here. This form will allow us to determine the best services to meet your needs. You may print a copy of your completed survey if you wish. However, we will be able to access the form online when you are ready to fill out our application.
Step 2: Orientation Presentation
Click here to view an online presentation about Tomorrow's Workplace services. If you are receiving Unemployment Insurance, it is imperative that you carefully review the presentation in full in order to avoid loss of benefits.
Step 3: The Application
When you are ready to access our services, you will be required to fill out an application at our Center. Ensure that you have completed our application in its entirety including the skills section. This is a useful tool for us to be able to better assist you but also for you to be able to independently consider the skills you have to bring forth to the next employment position you attain.
Step 4: Utilizing Resources
After you have completed Steps 1-3, you should begin to actively utilize our resources in the center. If you have any questions, you may speak with the Resource Room attendant who is available to meet your needs.
Step 5: Your Resume
A resume is important for most, if not all, employment positions. If your resume needs to be updated and/or if you are creating one for the first time, now is the time to work on it. Access one of our many computers to begin your updates or start drafting a resume. Weekly workshops are offered in the center to help you better understand and feel more comfortable with developing your resume. Even if you need help with creating a resume, you must first take the initiative to create a draft on your own, please refer to our orientation manual for resume samples.
Step 6: Active Job Search
Begin an active job search. Identify what type of job you are interested in and have the skills for, consider where you might want to work, what area/location is realistic and refer to our complete listing of job search sites included in the orientation packet. Begin to print out possible job leads and collect this information as you prepare to apply.
Step 7: Training Opportunities and Eligibility Determination
If you are interested in training opportunities at Tomorrow's Workplace, you must make an appointment with a representative who will guide you through the application process. Prior to scheduling an appointment to meet with a representative at Tomorrow’s Workplace, all previous Steps must be be completed (even if you just want to discuss training opportunities to upgrade your skills!)
If you have determined you do require skills upgrades or additional training within an in-demand occupation that you are pursuing, you must now schedule a time to meet with a customer service representative.
